本学の久保田耕平教授（法学部）が、2025年7月19日（土）～21日（月）にかけて東京大学弥生キャンパスで実施された東アジア生態学会連合大会（EAFES 2025）に出席し、大会期間中の7月21日（月）に、国際シンポジウム「低移動性昆虫の進化生態学：地理的分化、局所適応、近縁種間の相互作用（Evolutionary ecology of low-dispersal insects: geographic differentiation, local adaptation and interactions between closely related species
）」を主催しました。このシンポジウムでは5名の講演者が話題提供し、主に日本、中国、韓国から参加された約50名の研究者と議論を交わしました。低移動性の昆虫は、東アジア地域の島嶼、半島、大陸といった特徴的な地形条件に応じて、多様な種分化・局所適応を起こしていることが示されました。
