HIU’s comprehensive Faculty of Law offers four specialized course areas from which students may choose in their third year: Politics and Administration, General Law, Management and Law, and Sports and Welfare Policy. In addition to the required courses in those areas, a wide range of elective courses, such as foreign languages, multimedia and comparative cultural classes are available to maximize the students’ opportunity to achieve a well-rounded education.
HIU’s library supports students’ academic pursuits by providing multimedia information on a wide range of subjects. Specifically, the comprehensive collection of research materials on the regional study of the surrounding Kanto Area is especially notable.
The Sports Science Research Institute is the engine for HIU’s outstanding sports programs, having produced Olympic-level athletes; while the Socio-Information Research Institute is active in regional studies covering Japan and neighboring Asian countries.
